Are your children going to be fruitful?

Monday, October 4, 2010 15:54
Welcome back. I appreciate you subscribing to my RSS feed. Thanks again.

You know the saying the fruit doesn’t fall far from the tree?

I was talking to my son, Andy again today and he had some cute one liners.  I told him he gets his humor and wit from his father, but his risk taking, creativity and entreneurship from me.

So this was his commentary:

fruit fell to the ground and just started rolling downhill fast

so you should write about that

fruit – and how your children end up being like you

                    sometimes fruity, sometimes nuts

                    but they’re watching you

so speaking of fruit, are you eating it regularly?

                    because they’re watching that, too

are you living in such a way that you’d like your kids to emulate

                    eating and exercising

or do you wish you would have eaten better and exercised more?

Well…it’s never too late to make a new impression on your kids

and start healthy lifetime habits for them

Andrew : there…I wrote your blog post

Andy is our first born and the oldest of our 4 adult “children”. He is a new father of 6 month old Isaac Andrew.    He is now giving mom some words of affirmation and advice that may also be helpful to you or other struggling bloggers that I am sharing below.

                 you are an EXCELLENT conversationalist

                 it’s your best trait

                 treat it like in-person conversations

if you engage elsewhere consistently, you’ll get known…

                 and people will google you

                 and want to learn more

so pick 3-4 blogs by other influential people with much larger

                audiences

and start sharing your thoughts there

just pick 3-4 of your favorite blogs…of influential health-related

                 people

you could actually meet and get to know…moderately popular people

and start contributing…one great thing to do is to interview those

                   people

(4-5 easy questions)  an d feature them on your blog then ask them to

post a link to it from theirs

you’ll learn a lot, meet people and get known

doesn’t have to be long…  dynamic content is everything

but you got to be part of the community…contribute

contribute honestly and  openly  in other places

                 without necessarily linking back

just to be part of the online community in your sphere

GIVE to get  *******************   golden rule

Even us parents can learn something new and grow from our own fruit.

Best wishes in cultivating a healthy home and lifestyle for you and your family.        Peggy

P.S.  Andy don’t forget to include vegetables in your diet and set a

good example especially for Isaac :)

         Love,  Mom and Grandma
